Correlation between the syndromes of patients with gastric carcinoma and levels of serum EGFR

2014
Objective To explore the correlation between the syndromes of patients with gastric carcinoma and levels of serum EGFR. Methods Clinical collected 86 cases of different syndromes of patients with gastric carcinoma. Serum levels of EGFR were measured by ELISA. The correlation between the syndromes of gastric cancer and levels of serum EGFR were analyzed by SPSS16.0 software. Results In line with the levels of serum EGFR,there were significant differences between two pairs of syndrome types(P 0. 05),for example, the syndrome type of deficiency of both qi and blood and the syndrome type of interior retention of blood stasis, the syndrome type of damp-heat with toxin and the syndrome type of interior retention of blood stasis. Gender stratification analysis showed that the level of serum EGFR between the syndrome type of impairment of yin due to stomach heat and the syndrome type of interior retention of blood stasis, the syndrome type of damp-heat with toxin and the syndrome type of interior retention of blood stasis differ significantly(P 0. 05) in men. Parallel comparison of the results of any two syndrome types of female patients was also analyzed, but no significantly differences were observed(P 0. 05). Conclusion Levels of serum EGFR were correlated with syndrome typing and could be used as the microscopic molecular markers for auxiliary syndrome differentiation of gastric cancer.
