O cuidado de enfermagem na dimensão espiritual aos pacientes em sofrimento psíquicos numa unidade de internação psiquiátrica

2018
The complexity of mental health care is a daily challenge for nursing. With illness we are faced with the subject, with his vicissitudes, his problems, concrete daily work, his families, his projects and his longings, this allows an extension of the notion of integrality in the field of mental health. In this context, the discussion about the relationship between spirituality and patient care in psychic suffering arises, since this is an important dimension in the subjectivity of the human being. In view of the presented situation, the following guiding questions are configured: What is the meaning of spirituality and its articulations experienced in mental health care? What possible interventions of care in the spiritual dimension to the patient with mental health disorder? How to train nurses about spiritual care and its applicability in the care of patients in psychological distress? With this in mind, this study has as its general objective: "to understand the meaning of spirituality and its articulations experienced by nurses in mental health care, as a subsidy of intervention to the patient in psychological suffering"; and specific: "to describe the perceptions experienced by nurses about spirituality and spiritual care", "to describe the strategies of nursing care in the spiritual dimension for the patient suffering from psychic" and "to construct an orientation instrument with the purpose of training the nurses on spiritual care and its practical applicability in nursing care ". This is a descriptive, exploratory study with a qualitative approach, based on the perspective of the phenomenology Merleau Ponty. The research is based on a Municipal Psychiatric Hospital of the Municipality of Rio de Janeiro, with participants as nurses who work in this health unit. The technique of data collection is a previously structured phenomenological interview, in which 12 nurses were interviewed. Inclusion criteria were: nurses who work directly with mental health care with more than one year of professional experience, and accepted research participation; and as exclusion: nurses who are away from the unit for reasons of vacations, medical leave, premium leave, retired, professionals who have less than a year of professional experience working in mental health care and refuse to participate in the research. The data was duly analyzed, characterized and interpreted in the light of phenomenology, using content analysis according to Amadeo Giorgi, with subsequent grouping into categories comprised of the experiences lived in relation to a certain phenomenon. The project is in compliance with Resolution n. 466/2012 of the National Health Council, and approved by the Ethics and Research Committee of the Antonio Pedro University Hospital, via Plataforma Brasil, under CAAE n 83645718.3.0000.5243. Participants were informed about the research, volunteering, their risks and benefits, anonymity about the Free and Informed Consent Term (FICT) and the possibility of a decline in the research at any time. It is concluded that caring for another who suffers from some psychic commitment requires, besides the skills and competences inherent to the function, the development of knowledge that makes this professional empathic to this suffering
