TOTAL QUALITY MANAGEMENT AND STUDENTS SATISFACTION: A STUDY OF HIGHER EDUCATION INSTITUTIONS IN HIMACHAL PRADESH, INDIA

As a way to improve student happiness, this study looks at TQM's many components. For this study, researchers scoured the TQM-specific literature as well as TQM-related scholarly work from throughout India over the course of many decades. This research examined the link between the TQM characteristics (tangibility, assurance, and responsiveness) and student satisfaction in Himachal Pradesh's higher education. We used the questionnaire approach to obtain data from several Himachal Pradesh universities to narrow down our sample. A variety of statistical tests, including descriptive analyses and instrument validity evaluations, were used to assess the hypotheses and validate the study's instrument. Tangibility and certainty had a substantial impact on student satisfaction, whereas responsiveness had a little effect. The study concluded that TQM and its execution in higher education institutions in Himachal pradesh, need to develop and add new methods and approaches to maintain its reputation
