Dry-compression rotor compressors of low capacity

1982
A direct-gear, low-capacity compressor for supply of air without oil admixtures has been developed. It has special channels on the surface of the driven rotor equalizing pressure in drive to driving rotor chamber, which makes for complete internal compression. The influence of operational parameters is studied. Indexes of purity of gas, capacity, and weights are made. The new compressor VD-12/2.55 has pure gas, low capacity, and low weight. Its advantages include: air free from oil, absence of booster, simple lubricating, possibility for standardization. It is recommended for applying mineral fertilizers to soil, loading and unloading cement, and aeration of water.
