System for planning the placement of tissue anchors during surgery, with: an input circuit which is designed for receiving a signal including information regarding a planned surgical procedure on the body of a human or an animal; and an anchor placement circuitry that is configured to use the received signal to determine the preferred placement of the tissue anchor for the surgical procedure.
