Embryo microsurgery with femtosecond laser: novel techniques for assisted reproductive technologies

Two femtosecond laser-based techniques for embryo microsurgery are proposed. The first one uses laser to create code on the embryo envelope and minimize the risk of embryo mix-up. The second one enables laser-assisted hatching to be performed at the early blastocyst stage (when the inner cell mass and the trophoblast are distinguished) to initiate starting of hatching at the prescribed site.
