The signal lamp state detecting method comprises the following steps of acquiring position information of a vehicle and position information of a signal lamp; acquiring the running distance of the vehicle on a road junction with the signal lamp according to the position information of the vehicle and the position information of the signal lamp; acquiring state information and state conversion time of the signal lamp; acquiring running time of the vehicle which runs to the road junction with the signal lamp according to the speed and the running distance of the vehicle; and judging whether the running state of the vehicle is required to be changed or not according to the running time and the state information and the state conversion time of the signal lamp. According to the signal lamp state detecting method in an embodiment, changing conditions of the signal lamp can be accurately controlled, a user can be reminded, so that illegal behaviors or vehicle accidents can be avoided, and the driving safety of the vehicle is improved.
