Cellulose acylate film, method for manufacturing cellulose acylate film, layered body, polarizing plate, and liquid crystal display device

2015
The present invention addresses the problem of providing a cellulose acylate film whereby durability of a polarizer is enhanced and bleedout of an additive for enhancing durability of a polarizer is suppressed, a method for manufacturing a cellulose acylate film, a layered body, a polarizing plate, and a liquid crystal display device. The present invention provides a cellulose acylate film including an organic acid satisfying conditions a through c, the thickness of the cellulose acylate film being 3 µm or greater, and the average concentration of the organic acid in a region extending to a depth of 0-0.2 µm from one surface of the cellulose acylate film being lower than the average concentration of the organic acid in the remaining region other than the aforementioned region. Condition a: including a structure in which a polyhydric alcohol and a polyvalent carboxylic acid are bonded so as to form an ester bond. Condition b: the total number of molecules of the monovalent or higher carboxylic acid and the polyhydric alcohol forming the organic acid is at least 3. Condition c: having at least one unsubstituted carboxyl group derived from a polyvalent carboxylic acid.
