Purpose When children are exposed to Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs), their biological stress response is chronically triggered, altering brain architecture and causing long-term harm to their developing bodies. Left unaddressed, this toxic stress response can have serious long-term health effects on children as well as impact educational, social, and economic outcomes.
