Voltage Sharing Control for Interleaving Series-Parallel Dual Two-Transistor Forward Converter

2007
Novel control for an input-series and output-parallel dual two-transistor forward converter (ISOP-DTTFC) is proposed, based the novel analysis and result on the input voltages unbalance. With peak current control, the sampled error voltage between the input capacitors is introduced directly to the PWM pulse generation circuit and both the output voltage and input-voltage-sharing are controlled. Then the implementation of the control mentioned is proposed. All the functions of interleaving PWM, output voltage control and input voltages balance are achieved with only a single PWM IC and a voltage regulator without any extra synchronizing or voltage sharing control circuits. Simulated and experimental results with a 1 kW prototype are presented to verify the analysis and control proposed.
