The roller type slag cooler comprises a driving mechanism and a roller, wherein the roller is driven to rotate around a center shaft by the driving mechanism, the wall of the roller is formed in a way that a plurality of heat exchange tubes are helically and closely wound along the axial direction of the roller, and the tubes are connected by flat steel, so as to form a membrane type wall; in the roller, a plurality of heat exchange tubes are arranged along the radial direction from the inner wall of the roller, the tubes are connected by flat steel, so as to form a membrane type wall tube panel, and the membrane type wall tube panel is helically wound on the inner wall of the roller along the axial direction of the roller, so as to form a channel; two ring headers are respectively arranged at an inlet and an outlet of the roller and are connected with the heat exchange tubes of the membrane type wall and the heat exchange tubes of the membrane type wall tube panel. The roller type slag cooler has the advantages of low manufacturing cost and high heat recovery efficiency, and recovered heat is favorable for being reused.
