Kanzerogene Stoffe in der Umwelt : Rechtliche Aspekte

1992
The final report of a working group of the state's committee on immission control reevalutes the cancer risk near plants that emit carcinogens. For a number of the most important cancer-causing pollutants, especially diesel particles, polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons and benzol, the cancer risk in population centers is estimated as 80.6 additional cases per 100.000 inhabitants, which is 5.4 times the rate in purely rural areas. This finding implies new emphases in state-of-art emission control and in air-quality planning
