The invention provides a filtering material for the surface metallization of non-woven fabrics for medium/high temperature and a preparation method of the filtering material. The filtering material comprises a non-woven fabric, namely a base fabric, and a surface layer, wherein the non-woven base fabric and the surface layer are fixed through needling, and one surface or both surfaces of the non-woven fabric are coated with metal layers. The preparation method of the filtering material comprises the steps of carrying out baking, physical deoiling, pretreatment, metal layer coating and the like on the non-woven fabric. The anti-electrostatic filtering material prepared by the preparation method has the advantages of good static electricity preventing property, good uniformity, high-temperature resistance, good binding force and the like and can be applied to the medium/high-temperature bag type dust removal of the fields of garbage incineration, thermal power generation, cement, iron and steel, chemical industry, metallurgy and the like.
