Study on release in vitro of sustained-release microspheres for injection

Sustained-release microspheres for injection is a kind of parenteral depot system,and mainly takes biodegradable polymer as carrier.In this review,we reviewed the determination methods and influencing factors,including release medium,temperature and in vitro-in vivo correlations,which were key item in quality control of sustained-release microspheres for injection.The common release rate determination methods of sustained-release microspheres for injection in literatures such as direct drug release method,dialyzer-membrane diffusion method and flow-through methods were compared,and key factors such as release medium,temperature and in vitro-in vivo correlations were summarized.
