Innovations in communication and information services enable us to create new interactive information environments. These new communication environments provide librarians exciting opportunities for reshaping their roles. This article implores librarians to consider how their role has changed, how networked environments assist or impede meaningful communication and information seeking as users attempt to make sense of online nonsense.
