The use of non-traditional carbon film electrode based on microcrystalline natural graphite – polystyrene composite film for amperometric determination of 5-aminoquinoline using flow injection analysis minimising electrode fouling

2021
Abstract Flow injection analysis (FIA) with amperometric detection (AD) at a novel type of carbon film electrode (CFE) based on microcrystalline natural graphite – polystyrene composite film was used for fast and sensitive determination of genotoxic 5-aminoquinoline. CFE is a recently developed electrode with large potential window, good sensitivity, and easily renewable surface. Under optimized conditions, limit of quantitation (LOQ) of 1∙10–6 mol L–1 and RSD of 2.48 % was achieved and problems with working electrode passivation were successfully minimised.
