For students with additional needs, technology plays an important role in learning and understanding (Johnston, Beard, and Carpenter, 2007). Not only can technology facilitate a broader range of educational activities to meet a variety of student needs (Hasselbring and Williams Glaser, 2000), but technology can enable students to become more active learners.
