Interferon-γ gene polymorphism and clinical index of IgA nephropathy

2018
Objective To investigate the relationship between interferon-γ(IFN-γ)gene+ 874 locus single nucleotide polymorphisms and clinical test in IgA nephropathy(IgAN)patients. Methods DNA was extracted from peripheral blood from 131 IgAN patients and 138 healthy controls. Sequence specific primer polymerase chain reaction (PCR-SSP) was used to detect the single nucleotide polymorphisms in the + 874 locus of IFN-γ gene. The distribution of genotypes and alleles in the two groups was compared. And the relationship between the genotype and the clinical data of the IgAN was analyzed. Results There was a significant difference in 24 h urine protein in IgAN patients with different genotypes (P<0.05). Conclusions There was a correlation between the single nucleotide polymorphisms at the + 874 site of IFN-gamma and the quantitative 24 h urine protein.
