A revision of the tribe Poemeniini in the oriental region (Hymenoptera : Ichneumonidae)

Abstract The Oriental genera and species of the tribe Poemeniini of the subfamily Pimpiinae (=Ephialtinae) arc revised. The genera Deuteroxorides, Podoschistus and Poemenia are reported here for the first time from the hills of India and Burma by two species each. Cnastis is reported for the first time from Sabah and Sulawesi. Altogether thirty-two species are treated, of which eleven species and several subspecies are new to science. Keys to genera, species and subspecies are provided and the patterns of distribution of various taxa are analyzed.
