Process for the continuous preparation of derivatives chromanol ester of formula I wherein R1, R2, R3, R4, R5, R6, R7 and R8 independently of one another are hydrogen or alkyl of 1 to 10 atoms carbon optionally substituted, branched or unbranched and links in broken lines mean, optionally, an additional CC bond, whereby reacted, chromanol derivatives fed continuously, of the formula II with agents acylation continuously fed selected from the group of carboxylic acids of the formula IIIa R8-COOH IIIa and anhydrides of carboxylic acids of formula IIIb wherein R9 is hydrogen or an alkyl radical having 1 to 10 atoms optionally substituted carbon, branched or unbranched, in the presence of a catalyst in a reaction column as a reactor, the reaction products are discharged continuously from the reactor and is to the reaction mixture, at least one reaction product during conversion.
