Reconstruction of violated Wigner SU(4) symmetry in heavy nuclei

The problem of reconstructing Wigner SU(4) symmetry in nuclei with A>60 is analyzed on the basis of experimental data on nuclear masses. It is shown that Wigner symmetry is reconstructed in intermediate and heavy nuclei along the stability line with increase of A and N-Z. The analysis is carried out over the entire table of isotopes up to Aapprox.260. A qualitative picture of the causes of the reconstruction is presented.
