Use of epitaxial ZnSe films, grown from organoelemental compounds, in electron-beam-pumped lasers

An analysis is made of the feasibility of using epitaxial ZnSe films grown from organoelemental compounds in semiconductor lasers excited by electron beams. The first report is given of lasing as a result of longitudinal electron-beam excitation of such target films.
