Development of radiopharmaceuticals based on the knowledge of molecular biology

Abstract Based on the recent progress in molecular biology, nuclear medicine gets a chance to create two new fields as well as renovate itself. The former are antisense imaging and monitoring of gene/cell therapy, and the latter, use of knowledge in molecular biology for image-reading of ordinary nuclear medicine. In this chapter, the future possibility of nuclear medicine is discussed from the viewpoint of radiopharmaceutical development.
