Absence of an obligatory lag period in the induction of ovalbumin mRNA by estrogen

1979
Abstract The present study demonstrates that under certain in vivo and in vitro conditions, estrogen induces the synthesis of ovalbumin mRNA to a near maximal rate by 1 hour following administration of the hormone. No significant obligatory lag in the induction of transcription of the ovalbumin gene was observed.
