Method and equipment for detecting leakage of pipeline

The invention discloses a method for detecting the leakage of a pipeline for delivering gas or liquid. The method comprises the following steps of (a) providing mobile imaging equipment (100) with a driving unit (300) and a camera (500); (b) preparing a pipeline section (90); (c) placing the mobile imaging equipment (100) in the pipeline section (90); (d) closing the two end parts (90A/90B) of the pipeline section (90); (e) forming an air pressure difference between the interior and the outer side of the pipeline section (90); (f) operating the driving unit (300) to move the mobile imaging equipment (100) to another position along the pipeline section (90) and stop the mobile imaging equipment (100) at the position; (g) shooting an infrared image of the inner structure of the pipeline section (90) at the position by operating the camera (500); (u) executing thermal image inspection on the infrared image to detect a temperature change representative of the leakage of the pipeline section to identify the leakage of the pipeline section (90).
