Evaluation of electrical conductivity for copper foam/plasma using isochoric pulsed-power discharge

2013
Electrical conductivity in warm dense state has been evaluated by using isochoric pulsed-power discharge. The isochoric heating can be achieved by surrounding the foamed metal with a sapphire capillary as a rigid wall. The electrical conductivity and the temperature of copper foam/plasma have been evaluated by the applied voltage-current waveform and emission intensity. Observed electrical conductivity and foam/plasma temperature is about 10 4 S/m and 4000K in 0.10s.
