The adhesion of carbide and carbon steels at high pressures and temperatures

1971
Abstract Studies on the adhesion force of metals at high pressures and temperatures under conditions simulating metal processing were performed using an adhesion testing apparatus. The effects of contact pressure, contact temperature and contact duration time on the adhesion force were analyzed and discussed. The proposed analytical adhesion model was found to be satisfactory to explain these effects qualitatively.
