HUBUNGAN FAKTOR SOSIODEMOGRAFI DENGAN KEJADIAN KANKER SERVIKS DI RSUP DR. MOHAMMAD HOESIN PALEMBANG

Introduction: Cervical cancer can orgininate from cells in the cervix, caused by high risk Human Pappiloma Virus (HPV). Cervical cancer in a female cancer that causes the most deaths due to cancer, especially in developing contries. Research purpose was the association between sociodemography factors with occurrence of cervical cancer in RSUP Dr. Mohammad Hoesin Palembang. Method: Research was done by an observational descriptive study with case series design. Subject in this research was cervical cancer’s patients in the Intallation G of RSUP Dr. Mohammad Hoesin Palembang with the inclusion and exclusion criteria. Samples were taken using purposive sampling technique with the interview and questionnaire. Result: From 96 subjects, the characteristics of patients were mostly 40-49 years and 50-59 years has 34 subjects (35,4%). The most recent level of education, most are Senior Hight School 35 subjects (36,5%). Cervical cancer’s patients 85 subjects (88,5%) did not work. 69 (71.9%) incidence of cervical cancer with squamous cell carcinoma was most common. Duration of first sexual exposure until cervical cancer, the most is > 30 years as many as 66 (68.8%) subjects. The age at first sexual intercourse, the most was 16-18 years as many as 46 (47.9%) subjects. The number of parities with> 4 parity of 56 (58.3%) was most found. The highest number of sexual partners who have 0-1 partner is 80 (83.3%) subjects. Sexual history of the spouse (husband) of respondents with 0-1 partner of 65 (67.7%) subjects was the most encountered. After using with correlation Spearman test, variabels that have p 0,05 are paritas and sexual history of the respondent’s partner (husband) with Conclusion: This research conclude that there are significant correlation between duration of first sexual exposure until cervical cancer, first age sexual intercourse, and partner sexual and occurrence cervical cancer. While, paritas and sexual history of the respondent’s partner (husband) not significant correlation.
