A naphthoquinone from Lawsonia inermis stem bark

Abstract Isoplumbagin (2-methyl-8-hydroxy-1,4-naphthoquinone) has been isolated from the stem bark of Lawsonia inermis and characterized on the basis of spectral analysis and chemical reactions.
