Diseño de un sistema productivo para unidades dedicadas a la siembra de lechuga y plantas aromáticas bajo la modalidad de horticultura orgánica urbana en la ciudad de Bogotá

The organization “Agroambientalistas” defines Urban Organic Agriculture as one of the most promising tools to mitigate hunger, reduce unemployment, decrease the production of domestic organic residues, improve the urban landscape, and face global warming. This tool has been exploited mostly from the concept of self-supply, but in recent years it has begun to be implemented from a more industrial perspective. These industrial implementations are regularly done based on the technological advancements of Traditional Agriculture or Urban agriculture, which has been used with self-supplying purposes, thus causing the Productive Systems to be inefficient. Therefore, this research work is a proposal from an Industrial Engineering perspective that expects to strengthen the technical formulation of projects that promote the Urban Organic Horticulture in the city of Bogota.
