Application of uncertainty measurement model in risk evaluation on spontaneous combustion of sulfur concentrate in storehouse

The uncertainty measurement model was applied to evaluate spontaneous combustion of sulfur concentrate in storehouse. Eleven main factors that influence spontaneous combustion of sulfur concentrate were chosen as the evaluation indexes of uncertainty measurement assessment model,including water soluble Fe2 + + Fe3 + ,water content,self-heating tendency,ignition point,sulfur concentrate type,environmental temperature in storehouse,volume of sulfur con-centrate dump,fire fighting system,ventilation conditions,storage period,and management level. Each uncertainty measurement function was obtained based on the in-situ data; entropy theory was used to calculate the index weight of all indexes,and the assessment results were obtained by using credible recognition criteria. Spontaneous combustion risk of two sulfur concentrates in Dongguashan Mine was evaluated. The research results show that the assessment results are consistent with the actual instances; this new risk evaluation method can be usefully used to assess the spontaneous combustion risk quantitatively of sulfur concentrate in storehouse,moreover,it can solve many uncertainty problems in spontaneous combustion evaluation on sulfur concentrate.
