The correlation of immune function and endocrinology in patients with pregnancy induced hypertension

2018
Objective To investigate the relationship between immune function and endocrinology in patients with pregnancy induced hypertension (PIH). Methods From January 2016 to November 2017, 98 women with PIH were recruited as observation group in Maternal and Child Health Hospital of Shandong Province.100 normal pregnant women and healthy women without pregnancy in the same period were recruited as control group Ⅰ and control group II.Flow cytometry analysis was performed to measure the percentage of CD3, CD4, CD8, and CD20 cells. At the same time, IgG and IgA were detected by radioimmunoassay, while IgM and complement were examined by unidirectional immunodiffusion method.Follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH), luteinising hormone (LH), pituitary prolactin (PRL) were detected by GC911γ counter. The correlation of immune function and endocrinology were analyzed. Results The immune cells with positive CD3, CD4, and CD8, the level of C4 in the observation group were significantly lower than those in the control group I and group II(P<0.05), while the cells of CD20, CD4/CD8, and the levels of IgG, IgA, IgM and C3 were significantly higher than those in the control group I and group II (both P<0.05). FSH and LH were lower in the observation group than those in the control group I, but higher than the control group II(P<0.05). PRL was significantly higher than those in the control group I and group II, and the difference between the two groups was statistically significant(P<0.05). FSH and LH in patients with PIH were positively correlated with the cells of CD3, CD4, CD8, and the level of C4, but negatively correlated with CD20, CD4/CD8, IgG, IgA, and IgM.PRL was negatively correlated with the cells of CD3, CD4, and CD8, and the level of C4, but it was positively correlated with CD20, CD4/CD8, IgG, IgA, and IgM(P<0.05). Conclusion The immune function of patients with PIH may be related to endocrine hormones. In the perspective, during antihypertensive therapy for women with PIH, attention should be given to the stability of immune and the endocrine function.
