MODIFICACIÓN DE ARCILLA CAOLINÍTICA DE LA REGIÓN DE OIBA (SANTANDER) CON BASES Y SALES PARA AUMENTAR LA CAPACIDAD DE ADSORCIÓN DE COBRE Y ZINC DE EFLUENTES INDUSTRIALES

RESUMEN Se modifico una arcilla caolinitica con sales y bases, para aumentar su capacidad de adsorcion de Cu y Zn presente en disolucion acuosa a concentracion de 100 ppm. El estudio consto de dos etapas: la modificacion de la arcilla y la posterior adsorcion de los metales. Modificando la arcilla a una relacion de 40g de arcilla natural/I de disolucion de NaOH o de KOH, durante un tiempo de 1 h, 25°C y pH de 4,5-5, se obtuvo una adsorcion de 97% para el Cu y 94% para el Zn. The study consisted of two stages: the modification of the clay and later adsorption of the metals. Modifying the clay to a relationship of 40g of clay natural/L of solution of NaOH or of KOH, during a time of 1 h, 25°C and pH of 4,5-5, was obtained an adsorption of 97% for the Cu and 94% for the Zn.
