A simple error estimator for adaptive finite element analysis in waveguiding structures

This paper presents a new error estimator for adaptive finite element processes applied to waveguiding structures. The estimator is based on a recovered value of the curl of the solution and the results obtained show a good rate of convergence with the exact solution.
