Molecular Biological Characterization of Chemokine CCL28 and Its Receptor CCR10

CCL28, a member of chemokine CC subfamily, signal via CCR10 and CCR3. Although CCL28 is homologous to other chemokines in CC subfamily, it is unique in its gene position, protein structure and expression, which imparts to it the ability to induce homing and transference of circulating IgA screting cells, and the broad-spectrum antimicrobial activity.
