The Tredi-Ash process consists in a chemical lixiviation using calcium chloride, for transforming slags issued by industrial waste incineration plants, into stabilized residues. Leachates which contains toxic metals are purified through fixation-concentration on microbial biomass, constituting the terminal waste which represents only 2 percent of the slag initial mass. In the course of these two main steps, other recycling and up-grading processes may be included
