Connexin 43 expression in nasal polyps

Objective:To study the expression of connexin 43(Cx43) in nasal polyps.Meanwhile,to approach the nosogenesis of nasal polyps.Methods:The expression of Cx43 in 30 cases of nasal polypus and 10 cases of normal nasal mucous membrane were observed by the way of quantitate and semiquantitative analysis under the optical microscopy and technology of immunohistochemistry staining.Results:Connexin 43 expressed mainly under the nasal mucous and submucous tissue.The most in normal nasal membrana mucosa contrast on the expression of connexin 43 in nasal polyps(P0.01).Conclusion:Connextin 43 is present in both the normal nasal membrana mucosa and nasal polyps,The nosogenesis of nasal polyps may be intimate correlated with connexin 43 expression down regulation in nasal polyps.
