A driving unit supplies a driving signal to a plurality of electrodes, and the number of scan electrode lines formed on the panel is 1080 or greater. The width of the scan signal supplied to the scan electrode is 0.7us to 1.1us, and the voltage supplied to a scan electrode and a sustain electrode descends gradually for a part of a set down. The voltage supplied to a sustain electrode is raised from a third voltage to a fourth voltage.
