Cyclicity in air temperature and water discharge variations reconstructed with tree rings for mountainous areas of Inner Asia

2015
The study has assessed the interdecadal cyclicity in upper and lower tree-line growth variations in the tree-ring chronologies used to reconstruct the June–July air temperatures since 1715 with the Teeli meteorological station data and May–June water discharges of the Buyant River (Mongolia) since 1474. The cycle detection verification with the instrumental hydrometeorological data allowed us to come to a conclusion about the climatic causality of 21- to 45-year cyclic variations in tree-ring growth.
