Missionary medicine and cultural adaptation in modern China:On the cultural position of the medical missionary

It was medical missionaries who firstly devoted themselves to the cause of Chinese modern medicine.When it came into China,western medicine not only showed its instrumental characteristic on the surface,but also contains humanism,and it necessarily led to the radical change of Chinese medical system and human's thoughts.Western medicine and its eastern spreading worked out from lower society to superior intelligentsia,and it was the route of Chinese Cultural Adaptation.Before the Opium War,western medicine had come to China and showed characteristic of the normal cultural spreading.
