Design of Patient Motion Signal Detection System and Its Application Based on Wireless Body Sensor Network

Objective To develop a patient motion detection system based on wireless triaxial accelerometer.The motion information detected was used to design a rehabilitation training framework based on wireless triaxial accelerometer by which patient could conduct correct voluntary rehabilitation training without the supervision of doctor.Methods A wearable unit which integrated the triaxial accelerometer,microprocessor and RF chip acquired the human motion acceleration signal.A base station received wireless signal and transmitted it to PC via RS232 protocol for advanced data processing.The PC performed noise reduction and extracted the time-domain features from the signal.Results The wearable unit was small and comfortable to wear for patients and the wireless signal could cover the whole ward.The impulse noises could be reduced via the designed technique.The control design could perform accurate human-computer interaction.Conclusion The wireless sensor can detect patients' motion under low load with non-video technology.The motion information captured can be used in various clinical fields.
