PREVIOUS reports by our group1 2 3 4 5 6 described the development and clinical evaluation of a new immunologic adjuvant, named adjuvant 65, which was applied to influenza-virus vaccine. The adjuvant preparation consisted of a water-in-peanut-oil emulsion of the aqueous vaccine employing mannide mono-oleate (Arlacel A) as emulsifier and aluminum monostearate as stabilizer.
