Clinical application of continuously suture to perineum using a piece of suture

Objective:To explore the clinical effects of continuously suture to perineum only using a piece of suture.Methods:200 cases of puerperas who had suffered Ⅱ-degree perineal laceration and had been operated lateral episiotomy were divided into observation group and control group.The suturing time,pain intensity of cut,hospitalization time,incision healing condition and postoperative lint reaction were compared between two groups.Results:The puerperas who used a piece of suture had the shorter,lighter pain,shorter hospital stay,all wounds healed incision and no lint reaction.Conclusion:Suturing perineum with a piece of suture reduces the pain of poerperas,and is propitious to breast-feeding;save the cost,increase the turnover rate of hospital beds,reduce the workload of medical staff,and what's more,it is a safe,reliable method and worthy of promotion and application.
