Cultura Organizacional e Irresponsabilidade Social: Documentários Cinematográficos

2010
In recent years a film phenomenon has marked the management industry and world public opinion: it is a series of documentaries that reveal the dark side and often corrupt, sarcastic, arrogant, manipulative and exploitative of large corporations. It is the opposite of corporate social responsibility. The aim of this study is to understand the cultural and theoretical paradigm of organizations through the comparative analysis of four documentary films known for their cinematic quality. The films were also selected by the chronology and history, ie from 2004 to 2007, a period that preceded the biggest crisis of credibility and financial markets worldwide. In the background, was a critique of the three dominant theories of organizational culture - approach to integration, differentiation and fragmentation - taking as reference the paradigm of complexity. The comparative analysis aimed to show the commonalities and differences between the films, which characterizes such phenomena.
