Thermoluminescence of BaF2:RE(Ce, Dy, Eu) crystals

Abstract The thermoluminescence (TL) of BaF 2 :RE(Dy 3+ , Ce 3+ , Eu 2+ ) crystals has been studied above room temperature after the excitation with synchrotron radiation of 0.5-2.0nm. Meanwhile Dy 3+ concentration dependence of TL from BaF 2 :Dy (1. 10, 100, 1000, 10000ppm) in the 100–370K region was researched after x-ray excitation. The TL spectra and their mechanisms of BaF 2 :RE crystals were analyzed and discussed too.
