Recurrent ecchymoses of the eyelids as a presenting sign of metastatic neuroblastoma

Two cases are presented of children who suffered from recurrent ecchymoses of both eyelids, after which they developed typical bilateral propto-sis that enabled the authors to reach the diagnosis of metastatic neuroblastoma. The disease and its possible presenting symptoms are discussed.
