The invention relates to a thermal control system for the cabin of an electric or hybrid motor vehicle comprising a traction battery (1) for the power supply of an electric motor of said vehicle, said system comprising a heat accumulator wherein are capable of being stored calories in a charging mode of said traction battery (1), said thermal battery being adapted to assign said stored calories for heating the air in said passenger compartment running mode of said vehicle, said system being characterized in that said heat accumulator is constituted by said traction battery (1) of said vehicle.
