Advanced progresses in diabetes mellitus were introduced in the 7th International Diabetes Federation Western Pacific Region Congress,Wellington,March 30-April 3,2008.Basic science and clinical treatment of type 2 diabetes were presented in this paper,including surgical treatment and thiazolidinedi-one re-recognization as well as ineretin practice.
