Syndrome P.O.E.M.S. Étude coopérative de 21 cas français

A retrospective study of a series of 21 cases of POEMS syndrome confirms that polyneuropathy is always present, that the M component possesses a lambda light chain and that POEMS polyendocrinopathy is multifactorial. The improvement in all signs following cure of a solitary plasmacytoma suggests that the tumor might produce a soluble mediator with polysystemic activities.
