The wide array of ocular allergy symptoms, its profound effect on the quality of life and economic burden on the sufferer, underline the need for adequate knowledge of its management options. Primary treatment algorithm includes measures to reduce allergen exposure while medication such as antihistamines, vasoconstrictors and mast-cell stabilisers remain the mainstay management of ocular allergy. Severe cases of ocular allergy may require corticosteriods or immunotherapy.
